This Lamellar Armor is constructed from hundreds of 20 gauge steel plates with a blackened finish. The overlapping plates are fitted together with leather cords and the armor is bordered with a frame of thick leather. Brass plates are fitted to the front of the armor and a series of leather cords and leather tabs are used to fasten it in the back. The shoulder armor is integrated with the torso armor and is lined with leather on the interior to give chafe protection for the wearer’s shoulders; its leather cords are used to fasten to shoulder armor to the arms and body.
